#AmericanAnimation&Comics – U.S.-China Animation Cooperation  

The U.S. and China cooperate in many areas, including in the cartoon and animation industry.  Last month, the Jilin Animation Institute (JAI), the U.S.-based National Cartoonists Society (NCS), and the U.S. Consulate in Shenyang jointly hosted the “2017 China-U.S. Comics Summit Forum.”  Six leading American industry figures, including the NCS President, the President of the Andrews McMeel Syndication, which manages world famous brands like Garfield and Peanuts, and a long-time contributor to the popular MAD magazine, joined the bilateral forum in Changchun.  At the forum, NCS and JIA signed a “Strategic Cooperation Agreement,” under which both groups will work together  in cartoon and animation education industry development, promoting Chinese and American cartoons.  Want to learn more about American cartoonists?  Submit questions to the U.S. National Cartoonists Society.  We will be collecting questions for their experts to answer.
