Muck Up Day

Did you see anything interesting on our campus yesterday? if yes, it was the Muck Up Day! (Now renamed as Celebration Day or Dress Up Day by school principals)

Definition - muck means rubbish. It can also be a verb, which means sreading rubbish.

Actually, Muck Up Day is a time-held tradition which high school leavers celebrate by. On the last day when Year 12 students finish their schooling at school, they usually celebrate it by messing up around the campus.

Typically, they usually throw eggs and water watermelons towards walls, windows and even people, and even or bomb school grounds with toilet paper, which are discouraged by most school principals in Melbourne.

Instead, graduating students are encouraged to do no harms to sustain this VCE tradition.

Wantirna College celebrated it in a well-controlled way: signatures on T-shirts, farewell assemble, etc despite yelling could be heard on the campus.
