The true blessing of learning at an international school is that the students can receive a world-class education in an international environment. The Canadian International School of Hefei is no different where our student enrolment and staff members represent more than 30 countries spanning six continents. This international environment brings a new and fun learning experience to the campus as we are introduced to different cultures, languages, customs, and foods.
While diversity brings many new and interesting things to the school, it makes it difficult for one group, in particular. The cooks who run the kitchens work hard to satisfy all members of the school when they plan out their menu and prepare the food. To their credit, they have developed amulticultural set of meals that are sure to satisfy most of the student and staff.

While the kitchen staff has worked hard to include as many foods as possible, one group of proud Korean parents have asked for more and requested that one day a month be devoted to the food from their motherland.The Korean parents from grade 3 and grade 10 met with Lily, CISH secretary, and Claire, the Korean parent liaison, to discuss a way to introduce Korean food to the school menu. During this meeting, they requested that the school have a monthly Korean Lunch Day to introduce Korean food to the school and the school accepted.

Now, thanks to the efforts of these parents, we can celebrate Korean Lunch Day on the last Friday of every month.On this day, the volunteers and the kitchen staff put on a delicious assortment of foods that one might think they are strolling through the side streets of Seoul, Busan, or Daegu.

在一所国际学校学习的宗旨是可以在国际化的环境中接受世界-课堂教育。合肥加拿大国际学校有来自跨越了六大洲三十多个国家的学生和职工成员们,这个国际化的环境赋予了这个校园崭新的有趣的学习环境因为我们正在学习不同的文化,语言,习俗和食物。

当食堂员工非常努力地带来很多食物的同时,一些韩国家长要求每一个月中有一天可以做来自韩国本土的韩国食物。一些3年级和10年级的韩国家长和CISH校长助理Lily,韩国家长联络员Claire进行了沟通并且向学校介绍了韩国食物。
非常感谢这些家长的努力,我们可以在每月的最后一个周五庆祝韩国午餐日。在这一天,志愿者家长和食堂员工一起合作做出几乎可以在在韩国首尔,釜山或者大邱看到的一些美食。
