You may still recall in one of our last year posts, we have promoted UKCISA (UK Council for International Student Affairs) to King's students. They are one of the best resources for international students, and you can literally turn to UKCISA for reference on all aspects of life in the UK. They have also developed mobile app to further facilitate students' demand on smartphone usage.
Currently, UKCISA are calling for a photo competition to celebrate their 50th anniversary this year. You can use the themes below to inspire you – or something completely different – but something that highlights international student life in the UK. For students, the themes could be:
• excitement
• support
• place/home
• helping others
• challenges
• the future
• surprises
The 12 winners will be featured in a 2018 printed calendar to be sent to all of UKCISA’s members (this includes almost all universities and colleges in the UK), and winners will also receive:
a £50 Amazon voucher
a copy of the calendar
a ‘UKCISA Certificate of Commendation’
an invitation to our anniversary reception event in 2018 (date TBC)
The deadline of this competition is 5pm 30 October 2017. For details of this event please follow the below link
