Dear CISH Parents,

My name is Chris Marionni and I am the Department Head of EAL at the Canadian International School of Hefei.

The CISH EAL Department would like to formally invite you to Parent Tea Time on Friday, October 20th, 2017. Parent Tea Time will be held from 2pm to 3:30pm in the CISH Auditorium on the first floor. Tea Time will be for MYP EAL parents, including Bridging parents (G6 – G10). The agenda for Tea Time will include: meeting the MYP EAL teachers, curriculum discussion, resources such as SMRT English, Alberta Exam Bank, Cars & Stars, library books applicable for reading at each phase and our assessment (WIDA).

At the end of the presentation, there will also be a Q & A session, sample Cars & Stars and library books available, as well as handouts with detailed WIDA assessment criteria. Stephanie Gates, Rod Orwig, Richard Treleavan and myself will be presenting. Stephanie teaches G6 – G10, Rod teaches G6 – G9; Richard, the Bridging Program instructor, will be reviewing WIDA Assessment in detail.

CISH的EAL项目部门正式地邀请您参加 2017 年 10 月 20 日，星期五的家长茶会。家长茶会将于下午 2:00至 3:30在国际部一楼报告厅举行。茶会的邀请对象是中学部6-10年级参加 EAL 课程的学生家长（包括6-10年级衔接课程的家长）。 茶会的议程包括：与中学部EAL老师见面，课程讨论，向家长们介绍一些图书资源比如 SMRT English，Cars&Stars， Alberta Exam Bank 和可供借阅的每个语言阶段的图书馆书籍和我们测试（WIDA）的相关介绍。

在茶会的最后，我们也将会有提问和回答环节，并且向家长展示教科书的样本和图书馆书籍，以及分发WIDA 测试评分标准的讲义。Stephanie Gates, Rod Orwig，Richard Treleavan 老师都将出席。Stephanie 是6-10年级的EAL老师，Rod是6-9年级的EAL老师，Richard是衔接课程的老师，将会详细地讲解 WIDA 测试。
