·  Analysing research findings this will include using analytical, numerical and IT skills to gain insight from raw information, while exercising creative judgement to see beyond the numbers

·  Drawing out key positive and negative stories, patterns and trends from data

·  Completing written reports which summarise coverage accurately and concisely

·  Compiling new data by reading and evaluating media coverage

·  Developing both qualitative and quantitative research - this requires an expert understanding of the value of a range of research methods

·  Selecting the most appropriate research methods to use for a particular query

·  Ensuring clients’ reports are completed by the deadline, which is usually monthly or quarterly

·  Maintaining accurate records of the delivery of coverage, as well as looking for gaps and duplication in the coverage

·  Building market and sector knowledge and expertise, for example by reading all the press, keeping up to date with developments

·  Providing general support and information to the analyst team and those involved in handling the clients' accounts

Desired Qualities

·  Foreign language skills. Preferred languages are major European, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Arabic

Experience of descriptive statistics, statistical packages, querying languages, statistical programming languages, or Business Intelligence packages would be an advantage.
