Global Climate Change Driven by Modern Production and Consumption: The Roles of China and U.S.

全球气候变化是目前人类可持续发展中面临的共同问题之一,中美两国在对气候变化的影响上和在未来减排的行动上都具有举足轻重的位置和作用。
本专题将围绕四个方面展开分析:一、产业生态学视角下的人类与自然关系;二、生产引起温室气体排放的透视;三、消费驱动下的未来挑战;四、中美联合行动的巨大减排潜力。
Global climate change is one of the problems facing human sustainable development. This lecture will focus on the important roles of China and the United States with regard to greenhouse gas emissions and future mitigation.
This lecture includes four sections: 1) The relationship of humans and nature in Industrial Ecology; 2) A perspective on greenhouse gas emissions caused by production; 3) The future challenges driven by consumption; 4) The huge potential to mitigate climate change through the deep cooperation of the two countries.
讲者简介:王震博士现为北京林业大学副教授,担任中国生态学学会城市生态分会委员(秘书长)、中国环境科学学会气候变化分会常务委员、中国自然资源学会资源流动与管理分会(筹)委员,2013-2014富布赖特国际访问学者。他长期从事产业生态学基本理论、生命周期分析方法、产品碳足迹评估和生态设计方面的研究与教学,发表学术论文50余篇。
Speaker:Dr. Zhen Wang is an associate professor at the Beijing Forestry University. He is the secretary-general of the Urban Ecology branch of the China Ecology Society; a standing committee member of the Climate Change branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences; a committee member of the Resources Flow and Management branch of the China Society of Natural Resources; and a 2013-2014 Fulbright Scholar. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on the fundamental theory of Industrial Ecology, the Life-Cycle Analysis method, and the Carbon Footprint of products. He has published over 50 academic papers.
