5月19日，加拿大国际教育机构2018年第十四届“枫叶杯”幼儿英文口语大赛在金山谷外籍子女学校圆满收官。
On May 19th, CIEO held it's 14th “Maple Leaf Cup" of year 2018 Children's Oral English Competition at the Canadian International School of Guangzhou(CIS).

历时2个多月，旗下18所幼儿园（广东）36位小选手经过自己幼儿园的初赛、复赛、决赛的层层选拔和激烈角逐，从众多的参赛者中披荆斩棘，脱颖而出，登上今天总决赛的荣耀舞台。
In the past two months, after many rounds of selection and intense competition during the preliminaries, semi-finals and finals, 36 children from 18 kindergartens throughout Guangdong qualified to attend a final competition.

加拿大国际教育机构英文教学总监Paul、加拿大国际教育机构英文教学副总监Mark，CIS外籍校长Lorianne等领导担任大赛评委。CIEO董事长Winnie女土,副总经理陈伟垣先生王爱洁女土、韩玉霞女士，学前事业部总监卢洁贞女土、副总监林燕女士以及CIEO国际教育机构旗下的各园校领导们也莅临现场观看比赛。
This year, leaders from the CIEO acted as the judges of the competition, with big names from CIEO attending, including Paul, the English Teaching Director; Mark, the English Teaching Deputy Director; and Lorraine, the principal of CIS. Meanwhile, leadership from different schools of CIEO also came to participate in and enjoy the wonderful competition, they're CIEO chairman Winnie Chan, Depoty Manager Simon Chan, Angela Wang, Jade Han, etc.

本次大赛沿袭了“枫叶杯”的一贯赛制，参赛选手按小班组、中班组及大班组分别用英文进行自我介绍、才艺表演和现场问答。在总决赛现场，这群3至6岁的小选手们神采飞扬，用生动有趣、惟妙惟肖的表演和令人惊喜的英语水平，为现场观众带来了一场极具观赏性的英语达人秀：有嗨翻全场的乐队表演，精彩绝妙的奇幻魔法，惟妙惟肖的角色扮演，引人入胜故事讲述，气场十足的歌曲串烧……选手们自信的现场表现和标准的英语口语表达，让观众席不时爆发出雷鸣般的掌声，足见观众对选手们的喜爱与赞赏。
"The Maple Leaf Cup"follows a fairly easily understood system. Competitors were divided into three groups according to their age. They needed to finish a self-introduction, a talent show portion, and a live Q&A section led by the judges in English during the competition. In the finals, these young kids from 3 to 6 years old, impressed the whole audience with their vivid performances and surprising English proficiency. Audiences enjoyed an amazing English talent show, an exciting band performance, a fantastic magic show, some lively role playing, and some fascinating storytelling, among many other performances. Thunderous applause constantly broke out at the scene, with spectators showing their admiration to every competitor for their outstanding performances.

国际教育机构英文教学总监Paul在评委点评环节时表示，所有小选手的表现都令人印象深刻。“今天在座的每一位都见证了他们的努力和成长。一年一届的枫叶杯口语大赛薪火相传，相信，这些自信大方的选手们在未来英语的学习之路上，收获满满。”
Paul, the English Teaching Director was deeply impressed. He commented that “Everyone present here has been lucky enough to witness the confidence shown by these young competitors on stage. The “Maple Leaf Cup” will continue well into the future, and I believe it will also continue to give us a chance to see the best and brightest from our kindergartens.

Since the 1st Children's Oral English competition in 2004, “the Maple Leaf Cup” has become a permanent feature of the premium brand of CIEO. In the future, CIEO will spare no effort to introduce international education concepts, methods and practices, in order to help more children to the world stage to become global citizens.
