新西兰葡萄酒年度大奖（New Zealand Wine of the Year™ Awards）于11月3日晚在惠灵顿举行了颁奖晚宴，为获得年度总冠军，顶级荣誉奖，产区及葡萄品种荣誉奖，以及金奖等几大类别的酒款颁奖。本届大赛共有约1400款葡萄酒参赛。

大赛评委团
新西兰葡萄酒年度大奖（New Zealand Wine of the Year™ Awards）是新西兰葡萄酒行业的官方竞赛奖项，其前身为新西兰葡萄酒行业的两大盛事：新西兰航空葡萄酒大奖（Air New Zealand Wine Awards）和Bragato葡萄酒大奖。今年的赛事是两大奖项合并后举办的首届年度新西兰葡萄酒大奖。
大奖评审团
Warren Gibson
本届大奖评审团主席Warren Gibson拥有30余年的葡萄酒行业从业经验，曾在澳大利亚、意大利、匈牙利、法国和美国加州等地从事葡萄酒酿造工作，并曾担任霍克斯湾A&P Bayleys葡萄酒大奖和2017新西兰航空葡萄酒大奖等权威奖项的评审主席。
Ben Glover
评审团副主席Ben Glover是来自马尔堡地区的家族酒庄经营者和酿酒师，拥有20余年的葡萄酒酿造经验，自2015年起一直担任Bragato葡萄酒大奖评审主席。
Jamie Goode
本届评审团成员共有29位，包括两位国际评审: 来自英国的著名葡萄酒记者、国际葡萄酒挑战赛（International Wine Challenge）联合主席Jamie Goode博士。

以及少年时代起就醉心于葡萄酒酿造事业的专业酿酒师及葡萄酒行业咨询师PJ Charteris。

总冠军
在本年度大赛中，来自中部奥塔哥的黑皮诺The Maude Pinot Noir Central Otago 2017一举夺得2018新西兰葡萄酒年度大奖的总冠军。
评审主席Warren Gibson表示，Maude Pinot Noir 2017是今年参赛黑皮诺的典范：“这是一款美味的年轻葡萄酒，精妙复杂，馥郁轻盈，展现出极佳的柔滑口感，粉质单宁以及恰到好处的力度。绝对是上乘之作。”
Maude Wines是一家家族拥有的葡萄酒公司，始于1994年，位于中奥塔哥美丽的子产区瓦纳卡（Wanaka）的葡萄园是酒庄最主要的葡萄种植区。

本届大奖颁发了13项葡萄品种荣誉大奖。产区奖是本届葡萄酒大奖新增设的奖项，旨在展现新西兰葡萄酒产区的多样性及鲜明特色。来自霍克斯湾、吉斯本、惠灵顿、马尔堡、内尔森、坎特伯雷和中奥塔哥的顶级佳酿获得了7项产区大奖。
“很高兴看到今年的获奖酒款呈现出浓郁的区域特色，产区、葡萄品种和葡萄酒风格之间的联系更为明显。这标志着葡萄种植及葡萄酒酿造行业的良性发展，也显示出整个行业总体日趋成熟，” 评审主席Warren Gibson表示。
