Speaker's Bio:

John C. Thurston is Managing Director and Area Manager at Bank of the West, a wholly owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas. He is also a member of Bank of the West’s Senior Management Committee. John currently oversees the commercial banking offices and their related activities for Bank of the West outside of California and the Pacific Northwest. The offices are focused on providing banking services to middle market and mid-corporate companies. He is also responsible for the Bank’s national private equity banking practice.

Prior to joining Bank of the West, John was a Managing Director at The Private Bank & Trust Company in Chicago where he was responsible for managing a team of bankers and driving growth in its middle market banking portfolio. John began his career at LaSalle National Bank and spent more than 15 years in various roles there, including Senior Vice President and Division Manager for a team of middle market bankers and Chief of Staff to the President of National Banking. John received a degree in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
