China’s Reignwood Aviation Group has agreed to purchase 50 Twin Otters over five years from British Columbia-based aircraft manufacturer Viking Air. The base price for the Series 400 Twin Otter is $7 million, and Viking Air anticipates sales in China to reach C$3.5 billion over the next 20 years. Viking is the first Canadian company to take advantage of the new Bilateral Aviation Technical Arrangement signed in February between Canada and China.
