在耶鲁大学就读是怎样一番体验？

1. Academics: haha, it's yale. academics are going to be tough. professors' attitudes towards students vary wildly. some take great interest in undergrads and some actively brush them off. in terms of academic support and buildings (libraries) - yale is pretty good. a lot of nice peer tutoring options, a writing center, and a million (only a slight exaggeration) beautiful libraries.

学术：哈哈，这里是耶鲁啊。耶鲁的课程不容易哦，教授的态度非常好，有些教授对本科生很有兴趣，至于学术支持和图书馆这些，耶鲁非常棒。有很多友善的同龄人，有辅导课程，一个写作中心，还有很多很多美丽的图书馆。

2. Academics: Unfortunately my academic experience at Yale hasn't lived up to the hype...most humanities classes are good but I've basically been teaching myself math for the last year since my professor isn't good and the TAs aren't much better. If you're thinking about doing something science related I'd look elsewhere!

3. Majors: Very difficult to get into program which keeps up the high caliber of graduates. Undergrad plus ample experience required to even apply and once applications are complete interviews are required before acceptance.

4. Majors: I wouldn't major coming here for science or math. You'll have many more resources available to you at more well-rounded schools like Princeton or Harvard (and MIT/Stanford for engineering)

5. Majors: I've switched from math to English because I hated the program - Yale is much stronger in the humanities do NOT come here to major in STEM.

6. Local Area: New Haven is a much safer and friendlier city than you might have heard. Students don't venture too far away from campus, and the areas they do go are local destinations for a reason. Plus, it's very easy to catch a train to New York City.

7. Local Area: I didn't leave campus much, but some students got really involved in local politics. New York was pretty easily accessible.

8. Athletics: Yale integrates intramural competitions with the residential college system, so everyone is always part of a team. All intramural events contribute points towards the Tyng Cup, which is awarded to the most athletically successful college every year.

9. Campus Housing: Yale's residential college system is unique. Belonging to a college for all four years has significant advantages over comparable institutions. Even the worst housing would be amazing at most schools. Plus, where else do you get to live in a castle. Seriously, most of the colleges even have moats (minus the water).

校园住宿：耶鲁大学的住宿条件很好，和其他大学比较，四年的居住制度很有优势。即使这里最差的房子放在其他学校也是很好的。另外，在别的地方你能住在城堡里吗？不开玩笑，甚至大多数学院还有护城河！

10. Administration:Administration was very personable and open to all students helping to make policies easier pass through the student body.

11. Guys & Girls: Being a straight girl here can be hard since a good chunk of the male population is gay but other than that it's fine! Not many people date though.

男生女生：直女的话或许会有一点点困难。因为成对的男性中会有同性恋！但是不论怎样别的还不错。尽管如此，约会的人也不多。

12. Diversity: Yale is very diverse! A lot of wealthy people but there's also some variety.

13. Campus Food :For the most part,the food is wonderful.Probably some of the best college food you`ll come across.However some of the ethnic foods they make aren`t quite good due to lack of unique spice. The rice is always bland, for example.

校园饮食：很多时候，食物是很棒的。或许是你遇到的最好的学校饭食了。但是，有一些民族风味食品就不是那么好，因为缺乏特殊调料。例如，米饭总是清淡的。

14. Scholarships: Amazing aid offered to me.so I can`t complain, but the office is a pain to deal with and they are not very transparent.

15. Off-Campus Dining: There are so many good restaurants in New Haven, including two of the best pizza shops in the country. There are a lot of wonderful Thai and Indian places that I frequent and are basically on campus. I'm convinced no other college has access to this much good local food.

16. Administration: Yale administration does anything it can to help the student population. Although the administration sometimes struggles to interpret the student opinion and put it into action, they make student requests a top priority in increasing happiness, satisfaction, and safety within the school.

校园管理：耶鲁大学校方会尽一切努力去帮助学生。尽管有时候校方在落实学生的需求不是那么顺心如意，但他们还是很用心的把学生的快乐，满意和安全需求放在第一位的。

17. Majors: Everyone wants to hire Yalies. Yale opens employment doors that simply do not exist even at great schools.

专业：每个人都想雇用耶鲁的学生。耶鲁大学的招聘之门永远是敞开的，这在很多知名学校里是不存在的。

18. Majors: Majors are really easy to switch since you don't really have to commit until junior year (and even then switching is possible). Some majors require applications if there is high demand but not many.

19. Party Scene: With the suite system, it's so easy to host parties. So many amazing options to choose from.

20. Overall Experience: Yale is the best. It's not perfect, but everything is amazing.
