获得中国“虹桥奖”

WMG院长Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya

10月25日在北京接受了“虹桥奖”殊荣

此奖项授予世界范围内为中外教育、科技

合作发展做出突出贡献的专家

中国欧洲经济技术合作协会主席徐秉金表示：

“He strongly promoted Sino-British exchanges in education, science and technology, especially in the earlier stages of Chinese modernization construction. On the condition of the critical shortage of scientific talents in China, Lord Bhattacharyya trained a large number of excellent talents for Chinese industries of automobile, aviation, aerospace, transportation and national defense and has made outstanding contributions to the development for the cause of Sino-British friendship.”

华威大学和中山大学签署MoU

建立癌症诊断和护理方面的合作研究

此项合作协议签署于习大大访问英国期间

侧重于护理、数字病理、抗癌药物研发、

系统生物学和精确医学

华威大学副校长Lawrence Young教授表示：

“We are delighted to be consolidating our collaboration with the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Centre by signing this agreement today. This represents a milestone in the interaction between our two institutions and demonstrates the mutual benefit of our partnership.Working together to train future cancer specialists and to develop new anti-cancer treatments will significantly advance our mutual ambition to bring benefit to cancer patients in both China and the UK.”
