由著名的风景摄影师Charlie Waite于2006年创立，Landscape Photographer of the Year如今已是最具威望的摄影大赛之一了，旨在鼓励摄影师去捕捉英伦三岛最美的风光。这些作品代表了那时那刻的那个瞬间，将成为国家的记录。

获奖作品将会集结成册发行，并且自2014年起，代替原来的National Theatre, 而在Waterloo Station展出，供伦敦乃至全世界来往此地的人们欣赏。
