每个学期华威大学国际办公室都会组织去英国其他城市的周末游。

第一学期的安排如下：

11月1日 Winchester

Winchester is a charming, relaxing small city in the South of England. Its cathedral is impressive and its historical Great Hall is worth seeing. Or you could go on a guided tour of its famous traditional school: Winchester College. The town is nice to look around and it's also easy to get to the surrounding countryside for a pleasant walk.

Timings: coaches ready for boarding at 8:20am, coaches depart at 8:40am, arrive at Winchester about 10:45am, leave Winchester at 6pm, return to campus around 8:15pm

11月8日 Oxford

There's a lot to do in Oxford. You could have a memorable day looking round the famous University of Oxford colleges. But the town also has some world class museums you can enter for free, including the oldest public museum in Britain (the Ashmolean).

Timings: coaches ready for boarding at 8:20am, coaches depart at 8:40am, arrive at Oxford about 10am, leave Oxford at 5:30pm, return to campus around 7pm

11月15日 Bristol

There's a pleasing ambience to Bristol: its streets and waterways and parkland and architecture are well worth exploring. It's probably the best place in the UK to see if you're interested in graffiti and not just because it's allegedly the home town of notorious street artist Banksy. But it also has a very elegant side including the picturesque Clifton Suspension Bridge there (if you go up to see it you may want to visit the free engineering museum at the far side) or you may want to spend the day at Bristol Zoo.

11月22日 Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a key city for the Royal Navy which has made the city an interesting destination. At the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard you can see famous old ships like the Mary Rose and the HMS Victory or look round a submarine. Or you could ascend the mighty 170m high Spinnaker Tower for great views of the area.

Timings: coaches ready for boarding at 8:20am, coaches depart at 8:40am, arrive at Portsmouth about 11:45am, leave Portsmouth at 6pm, return to campus around 9:15pm

11月29日 York

York is a thriving historical city with some ancient cobbled streets. It's also known for its traditional tea rooms. And there are lots of attractions, such as the National Railway Museum and the imposing York Minster.

Timings: coaches ready for boarding at 8:20am, coaches depart at 8:40am, arrive at York about 12pm, leave York at 6pm, return to campus around 9:30pm
