不知道大家有没有想过，为什么猴年是Year of the Monkey，鸡年却不是Year of the Chicken？！其他生肖、祝福语、过年相关物品该怎么说？甚至……福禄猴的英语是什么呢？你一定不知道！
十二生肖
前些日子很火的福禄猴你知道怎么说么？如果直接翻译的话，福是fortune，禄是prosperity，所以福禄猴是the monkey of fortune and prosperity？但这样未免太长了，参考下最近的英文报道，福禄猴直接音译为Fulu Monkey就好啦！
生肖的英语是Chinese zodiac sign 或是 Chinese animal sign。
十二生肖动物的名称：
Rat 鼠 （不能用 mouse）
Ox 牛 （不能用 cow）
Tiger 虎
Rabbit 兔
Dragon 龙
Snake 蛇
Horse 马
Goat 羊 （不能用 sheep）
Monkey 猴
Rooster 鸡 （不能用 chicken）
Dog 狗
Pig 猪
所以Year of the （生肖）就可以来表示某个生肖年。
比如：
A：What' s the Chinese zodiac/animal sign of 2016?
2016是什么年？
B：It's the year of the Monkey.
猴年。
A：What is your Chinese zodiac/animal sign?
你属什么？
B：My Chinese zodiac/animal sign is the Monkey.或I'm a Monkey.
我属猴。
