According to the development plan of NSW government, there will be approximately 9,600 homes and 29,700 residents in Box Hill. One new town centre and three village centers will be set up to provide more convenient access to residents. 新州政府投资83亿元的西北铁路线将于明年年底通车，新增的八个站点中包括Rouse Hill，因为Box Hill紧邻Rouse Hill, 届时这一片区的房价将会更加迅猛增长。
