各位英语老师，美国大使馆RELO办公室将于2016年10月20日起，每周四下午定期举办英语教师沙龙。届时将有美国国务院英语语言学者和您一起，探讨行之有效的课堂教学方法、了解语言教学领域的前沿动态。欢迎各位报名参加！此活动免费但需提前预约。

Workshop on:

AmericanEnglish.State.Gov – A Free Materials Resource for Teachers

AmericanEnglish.state.gov is a free resource for teachers and learners of English. It provides a variety of engaging materials and resources for teachers' professional development and for students in the classroom. The website has countless downloadable materials and activities for students and teachers alike. Learn about how to increase speaking fluency using board games, use art projects to stimulate writing, and develop your student’s listening and vocabulary through the use of audio books. This presentation will walk you through some of the materials available and offer suggestions to use them to make your English language classroom more active and creative while providing students the opportunity produce more language.

Speaker Bio

Dawn Rogier is the Regional English Language Officer (RELO) for the United States Department of State posted to the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. Her regional responsibilities including working in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Mongolia to develop and implement English language programs for teachers and learners. She has a doctorate in Education and a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics along with more than 20 years of international teaching and educational administration experience.

1．本活动仅限英语教师及教研人员参加。研讨会将用英语进行。活动期间不得使用音频和视频记录设备。

This event is ONLY open to English teachers and professionals. The seminar will be conducted in English. Audio or video recording of the program will not be permitted.

2．请携带本人有效身份证件及报名确认函进入北京美国中心。请勿携带大包前往。

You must bring both your valid photo ID and registration confirmation page in order to get into BAC. Large bags will not be allowed into BAC for this event.

3．请于活动开始前30分钟到达现场。活动开始30分钟后将不允许进入。

Please arrive 30 minutes earlier ahead of the start time. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive half an hour after the program has started.

4．出于安全原因，北京美国中心工作人员保留拒绝任何人进入的权利。

For security reasons, the BAC staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone.

Location: No. 55 An Jia Lou Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing (East Gate of the U.S. Embassy).

交通：地铁10号，亮马桥站B出口，向东北步行至天泽路和安家楼路交汇处，签证处北侧。

Directions: Metro Line 10, Liangmaqiao Station Exit B, walk northeast to the Tian Ze Road intersection of An Jia Lou Road, north side of the Visas Office.
