通过上下文理解这种情况在雅思阅读中时有发生。本来可能是一个很简单的词语,但是由于出现在了长难句中,导致其“摇身一变”就变成了你看不懂的样子。这个时候抓句子主干+联系上下文就是尤其重要的了。

长难句!部分烤鸭看见就昏头了……但是我们现在抓出句子主干,找到
ways in which
factors which
activities which
这三个定语从句抓出时候,有么有感到豁然开朗?我们再来找到drive,发现句子主干应该是factors drive …… 如果将drive翻译成【驾驶】,那么就是【真相驾驶……】显然是不合理的,所drive在这里的意思是【导致】,相当于factors lead to……
适当缩句,就可以帮助自己更好的抓住重点。

单选题 Q20 The teacher-subjects were told that they were testing whether

文章原段落如下:

我们发现这里的teacher-subject打了引号,也就是提醒烤鸭们,不认识不要紧,直接将其当做一个特殊字符就可以了。
但是我们要掌握一点,就是在雅思阅读的学术类或实验类文章中,subject是绝对的高频,且会被用作【实验对象】这个意思,volunteer或participant可作为其替换对象。
