Condé Nast International publishes close to 128 magazine and high-quality websites and apps in 11 countries around the world, reaching more than 220 million unique users. Some of our world-famous brands are Vogue, GQ, Wired, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Condé Nast Traveller, and Tatler.
Condé Nast International is undergoing a huge digital investment and transformation programme and requires an exceptional Audience Growth Editor to lead the growth of key titles.
We are embarking on an ambitious reimagining of how we shape our digital editorial strategy. As such we are in startup mode and require an energetic editor who can lead change and inspire.
The role of Audience Growth Editor will support audience growth across platforms by maximising the impact of the editorial output of Condé Nast International’s in-market teams.
This is an ideal role for a forward-thinking Editor with a strategic global outlook.
Reporting to the Head of Audience Growth, the Audience Growth Editor will work closely with digital editors in at least 11 different countries; the data and insight team, the strategy team and the commercial team to identify growth opportunities and execute initiatives.
This is a new international team, within a company led by a strong leadership team with a clear strategy and vision. Within this team you will have the opportunity to help define what we publish and why. You will have access and insights into digital publishing around the world. You’ll be working with exceptional colleagues in editorial, engineering, data and UX. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on creating first-class stories and user experience .

Responsibilities
·Work with other members of the audience team, plus the strategy team and data and insight team to identify growth opportunities.
·Design and implement a multi-platform growth strategy.
·Commission content based on audience insights (including social, SEO and other referral platforms)
·Work with in-market teams to train and guide search and social media best practice.
·Guide in-market editors in how to frame stories based on the audience strategy.
·Train digital editors and work with their teams on shaping stories to resonate with desired audiences, through effective headlines, content framing, primary publication platform, social amplification, and other audience development techniques.
·Spot opportunities for syndication and recommend articles for translation / ‘transcreation’.
·Identify and establish external content partnerships.
·Monitor and analyse performance in major search engines and referrers and ensure online content is appropriately optimised.
·Monitor and analyse performance on social media platforms.
·Along with other members of the audience team, work on editorial guidelines and best practice for all content types - text, imagery, video and interactive journalism.
·Identify and shape editorial opportunities based on recurring and plannable events.
·Identify potential new audiences for particular titles (such as GQ or Vogue) and create and implement a strategy in order to reach them.
Requirements
·An experienced editor who has extensive experience writing and commissioning for online publications.
·A love of fashion and style content, particularly for male audiences.
·Extensive understanding of Facebook and the algorithm. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in growing a page.
·Extensive experience of editorial and technical SEO.
·An excellent networker with the skills to encourage, persuade and train editors.
·Experience in using Google Analytics, social analytics and SEO tools.
·Sound knowledge of numbers and Excel.
·Responsive to change and to learn new things within a fast-paced digital environment.
·A people-first person with strong communications both verbal and written, on and offline, and the willingness to represent yourself as a positive and globally minded brand ambassador.
·The ideal candidate will have experience of living and working within another culture and will speak a second language (preferred but not essential).
·Speaking foreign languages (Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Italian, French and German) and international working experience will be advantageous.
