Depending on when you complete your studies, the Stroz Friedberg Due Diligence Graduate Consulting program starts in February 2018 or September 2018. You will be immersed in our Due Diligence and Strategic Research department focusing on profiling our clients’ potential counterparties, particularly in emerging markets, and understanding what risks they may pose from a regulatory and reputational perspective.

From the very beginning of the program, you will conduct detailed investigative reports and analysis focused on emerging markets, to help the firm’s clients identify and understand regulatory and reputational risks before proceeding with commercial relationships. This primarily involves undertaking open source and database research for integrity and compliance due diligence, background investigations, asset traces and risk assessments.

·Produce high quality and accurate written work with the ability to understand and summarize large amounts of information from diverse sources.

·Master our entry-level reports while working to strict deadlines.

·Form and articulate expert opinions based on analysis.

·Maintain a high level of professionalism in all areas of performance.

·Provide support to clients and senior due diligence staff.

·An excellent academic record and at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in an arts or social science discipline.

·An interest in and knowledge of international affairs, politics and business

·Basic familiarity with anti-corruption legislation and anti-money laundering regulatory framework

·Research experience using databases and other open sources.

·Excellent written and spoken English, with a demonstrated ability to write clearly at an academic or commercial level.

·Commitment to the team, dedication and punctuality, as well as the ability to follow instructions and solicit feedback to improve.

·Ability to prioritise and plan work activities and use time efficiently.

·Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

·Strong interpersonal communication skills and clear and articulate writing ability.

·Experience in conducting research in a commercial context.

·Accurate and detail-oriented research skills as well as an inquiring mind.

·Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, strong personal initiative and an ability to innovate.

·Working proficiency in (a) foreign language(s), particularly: Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Farsi, Malay, Ukrainian, Kazakh, Urdu, Hebrew, Spanish, Italian and/or Portuguese.
