Some parents buy their children a large number of toys to play with.
What are the advantages and disadvantages for the child of having a large number of toys?
Most people would consider children who have many toys to be the fortunate ones. Interesting things to play with stimulate many positives in the young boy or girl, such as optimum brain development, hand-eye coordination and color recognition, apart from the simple joy of playing. Modern toys are designed to be educational as well as fun, and concerned parents carefully select products which might speed their child’s acquisition of numbers or the alphabet.

Describe a child you know well
You should say
– Who he/she is;
– What his/her personality and hobby is;
And explain why you like this child.
Personally, I love children. I think they are pure and naïve (天真). My niece Ana is such a girl. She is just 5 years old. She has a nice round face, with fair skin and she looks so cute and adorable(可爱). She has a beautiful brown eyes (漂亮的棕色眼睛) just like most Chinese people.
Ana is very much fond of drawing. She loves playing with(特别喜欢玩彩色笔) colourful pens all those things. When she was only three, she began drawing on paper. Although I must admit that (虽然我不得不承认) initially she painted all over the wall and we were little angry with her. In the beginning, it wasn’t easy for us to tell for sure what she was drawing. She used to tell (以前总是告诉) us what she had actually drawn but gradually her interest in drawing developed and she is now drawing quite well. I guess that makes her more imaginative and creative (更有想象力和创造力) as compared to her parents. She is always drawing pictures out of her imagination(凭自己的想象画画), and not copying from books. I am really close to her as I often buy some chocolates for her and take her to the park nearby. She is really outgoing and friendly (外向,友好), you can say. She just loves going with me and her little hands feel so good. I carry her along and sometimes we eat ice-cream together. She asks few silly questions but then who doesn’t like those lovely innocent queries (天真的问题) of a child.
Last month, she prepared a beautiful picture of her family. I was touched by (深有感触) her deep understanding of family and I really liked it. I have also made a print of that picture and kept it with me. I guess she has a great future and definitely she is my favourite niece.
