很多小伙伴可能不是很了解什么是预科课程。
预科课程，预科课程是衔接高中和大学本科中间的一年课程。由于英国的大学一般不直接接受中国高中的课程成绩（包括高考分数）, 没有读过国际课程的高中毕业生就必须要先读一年的预科，才能用预科成绩去申请英国的大学。
华威预科课程（International Foundation Program）属于直属预科，通过UCAS申请华威本科课程的童鞋可获得来自华威大学本科相关专业的有条件录取（条件一般是预科结业成绩和雅思成绩）。与此同时，华威预科毕业生也可以用预科毕业成绩去申请所有其它英国的大学。
2018/19的预科课程，近期进行了细微的调整，社会科学方向和法律方向的主修课程和选修课程发生了一些变动。先更新下预科课程课程设置的部分。
一、课程设置
2018-19年预科课程依旧是五个专业方向。
五个方向的预科课程都是一共五门课，除了语言课程外，不同专业方向对应不同的选修和必修。由于这些课程的成绩会直接影响本科可以申请什么专业，因此预科的专业方向选择最好和本科专业高度关联。
商科与经济学
Business Studies and Economics
必修三门：
商科基础＋ 商科数学与统计学 ＋ 学术技能
Foundations of Business + Business Maths and Statistics
+ Inquiry and Research Skills
选修二选一：
应用经济学 or 心理学
Applied Economics or Psychology

Q: How have you found the course so far?
A: Sometimes I have to do things that I've never done before. It's new but it's challenging and interesting. For example, we've never done references. I've not done mamy presentations either, or group work; in Russia it's more individual work. I like the new ways of working because you have a chance to meet new people and you can learn about their cultures.

Q:Tell us a little about your experience studying on the course.
A: The course is great, we are being taught to write coursework in academic style and attending lectures and seminars that are similar to undergraduate courses, so I feel mentally prepared. I admire how passionate the teachers are, they help us overcome our problems and find solutions with us. My teacher says, "any machine can make calculations, but we will teach you how to anlyse it."

Q: How are you finding the course?
A: I find the IFP even better than I thought it would be. I was expecting normal classes like high school, what I'm used to. But it's very different; our classes are not so stressful, and teachers are more accessible than back home in Mexico.
Back there it's a little bit more strict. For example if we're solving a problem the teachers tell us what procedure to follow. Here teachers are wide open; they let us even try different met hods.

Q: How have you found studying on the Warwick IFP?
A: It's been brilliant, I found a lot of support throughout the programme and I have improved a lot, and I have seen other people improve along the way. The programme gives you a broad knowlegde but also goes in depth into subjects that you will need in your undergraduate course.

Q: Tell us a little about your experience studying on the course.
A: Compared to the education system in Singapore I love it, the pace is a lot slower and the lecturers are very positive in the way they teach. If you answer a question wrongly they will not embarrass you, it makes me more motivated in learning.

雅思强化课程（今年新增）
华威预科课程不设置语言课,也就是申请人必须满足入学语言要求(雅思5.5)。准备就读华威预科课程的同学，如果有意提高academic reading & writing skills，来英国提前了解学术文化、适应当地的生活，可以选择提前来华威大学参加为期六周的雅思强化课程 (IELTS intensive course)。
IELTS intensive course
课程针对已获得offer的申请者：
—旨在提高学生的读、写水平
—8月13日开始授课
—授课时长为6周 每周15小时
—小班教学 每班不超过14人
—期末有模拟英语测试
项目还包括一趟3天的旅行 - 学校会组织同学们到伦敦以及华威大学的周边进行参观，帮助同学们更好地了解英国的文化、适应当地的生活~

二、课程安排
每周23小时上课时间包括：
— 5小时英语学习
— 18小时专业课学习
丰富的线上学习资源，享用华威大学本部校园设施。预科继续华威大学本部授课，每个学生会被分配personal tutor, 手把手辅导你大学本科的申请，并对日常各类琐碎问题答疑解惑。
三、毕业去向
预科毕业申请本科的标准依旧没变。结业有考核，考核成绩分等级。70分以上为D(Distinction), 60到69分为HC(High Credit), 50到59为C(Credit), 40到49为P(Pass), 40分以下不及格。预科成绩加雅思是继续申请本科的必备要求。
预科课程结束后，将获得与预科专业相关的华威大学有条件录取通知书。一般来说，华威大学大部分本科专业都需要预科达到三个D一个HC，而不同的本科专业雅思要求不同，总分要求6.0、6.5 或 7。不同方向的有条件录取的华威本科课程及相关申请要求可以进入相关页面进行查询☞https://warwick.ac.uk/study/ifp/ugprogression

高三第二学期成绩85%以上
雅思(IELTS for UKVI)总分5.5及以上, 单科要求5.0及以上
个人陈述
住宿费一年为5000到6000英镑，学费为17,860英镑。
