A day in the life: Adrienne from Maryland

7:00am: I start my day by reading the Verse of the Day on my mobile Bible app. Then, I listen to my favorite morning show (The Russ Parr Morning Show) while getting ready for work. Today is one of my work-from-home days.
8:00am: I check my personal emails on my mobile phone and tablet and review my to-do lists for the day. If I have extra time, I listen to my favorite podcast, The Side Hustle Show, to be inspired as an entrepreneur.
9:00am: To kick off my work day, I turn on cable television to listen to the latest financial news from Wall Street, in case I hear about a great investment opportunity.
10:00am: Time for breakfast! I usually have a bowl of oatmeal with a cup of hot coffee, while continuing to address work emails.
11:00am:I work on marketing projects and administrative tasks for two small businesses for the duration of my work day.
6:00pm: I tune into Mad Money to hear Jim Cramer’s recap of the trading day.
7:00pm: Dinner time! Sometimes, I enjoy a glass of red wine with my meal.
8:00pm: I practice my piano, playing R&B music from artists like Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys.
9:00pm: Time to watch primetime TV for the duration of my evening.
11:00pm: I’m off to bed, so I can wake up early in the morning. Good night!

从海龟保护到妈妈的餐厅 - 我最喜欢的地方
我最喜欢的地方

1.我在佛罗里达州的家
我家住在佛罗里达州的戴维镇，这是我最喜欢的地方之一，因为在佛罗里达州南部，一天之中至少有一段时间是温暖如春、阳光明媚的。后来，我去新罕布什尔州汉诺威市上大学，一年中能有半年特别寒冷，我必须总得穿着外套，所以我喜欢回到我家的后院，好好地在太阳底下读读书、听听音乐。
2.哥斯达黎加托土盖罗（Tortuguero）
去年夏天，我在哥斯达黎加工作，并且有机会到圣何塞市以外的地方旅行。到目前为止，托土盖罗是我最喜欢的地方。托土盖罗是世界上海龟孵化和保护的主要地点之一，而且周末到这座小镇游览，也让我有机会深入观察到当地社区成员正在非常努力地保护着他们的自然环境，并且教育游客努力保护自然有多么重要。
3.我妈妈开的小餐馆
全世界我最喜欢的地方之一就是佛罗里达州达尼亚海滩（Dania Beach）的一家小餐馆，是我妈妈22年以前开的。这座小餐馆一直是我生活中的一部分，而且由于它就在机场附近，所以每当我离家或是回家，它都是我的最后一站或第一个落脚的地方，每当我在那里吃饭时，我就会生出几分在家吃饭的感觉。
4.古巴哈瓦那市海滨大道（Malecón）
我在大学三年级那年的秋天，花了一个学期在古巴哈瓦那市学习。这张照片上的就是海滨大道，它是海边的一条主要公路。不过，海滨大道不仅是一条公路，还是年轻人和很多家庭休闲的地方，风平浪静的时候，大道上总是挤满了人，他们寻找机会社交，并享受海边的新鲜空气。对我来说，海滨大道使我回想起与古巴朋友长时间的聊天、交流音乐和在穿梭的游客中观察本地人。
5.BarHOP
最后一个我最喜欢的地方是BarHOP，那是校园里的一个工作室，每到周四晚上就会被改造成夜总会。我热爱BarHOP，因为我在大学里的大部分社交活动都是在希腊式的房子里开展的，而BarHOP是学校创建的一个社交空间，里面有领薪水的DJ（唱片骑师）、酒吧侍应生、免费的小吃和各种活动。那里确实是度过周末时光的好去处，无论我们的工作有多繁忙，我和朋友总是尽量去那里玩。

1. My house in Florida
My house in Davie, Florida is one of my favorite places because it’s always warm and sunny for at least part of the day in South Florida. I go to college in Hanover, New Hampshire, where about half the year is very cold and I always have to wear a coat, so I love coming home to my backyard and being able to read and listen to music under the sun.
2. Tortuguero, Costa Rica
Last summer, I worked in Costa Rica and had the opportunity to travel to some locations outside of San José. Tortuguero was by far my favorite location. Tortuguero is one of the major sites of sea turtle hatching and preservation in the world, and my weekend in the small town gave me some insight into the intense efforts community members invest in preserving their natural world and educating visitors about the importance of conservation efforts.
3. My mom’s diner
One of my favorite places in the WORLD is a diner in Dania Beach, Florida that my mom opened more than 22 years ago. The restaurant has always been a constant in my life, and because it’s right near the airport, whenever I am leaving or arriving home, it’s my last or first stop and whenever I eat there it feels like I’m taking a little piece of home with me.
4. The Malecón, Havana Cuba
During my junior fall at college, I spent a semester studying in Havana, Cuba. The picture here is of the Malecón, which is the major highway bordering the sea. The malecón is more than just a highway, though. It’s a hang-out spot for young people and families, and when the waves are calm, it’s always packed with people looking to socialize and enjoy the sea air. For me, the Malecón takes me back to countless hours spent conversing with my Cuban friends, exchanging music, and watching natives as tourists pass by.
5. BarHOP
My last favorite place is BarHOP, which is a studio-space turned night-club every Thursday night on campus. I love BarHOP because while much of the social scene at my college takes place in Greek houses, BarHOP is a space created by the college with paid DJs, bartenders, and free snacks and activities. It’s always a really fun way to end the week, and my friends and I try to always go, no matter how busy our workload is.
