全球有超过2.58亿人生活在他们出生的国家之外。但是,尽管人数众多,主流媒体往往忽略了这些声音。这个群体有许多名字: 外籍人士, 外国人, 难民,数字游牧民,海龟等等。但是他们是谁? 他们住在哪里?他们为什么搬家? 生活在不同文化之间,“家”对他们来说意味着什么?他们如何影响我们的社区?
12月13日,北京美国中心将举办一场座谈会集中讨论这些问题,座谈嘉宾是来自不同群体的美国人,他们在不同的文化背景下生活并分享世界各地的故事。
Across the globe, over 258 million people live outside thecountry they were born in. But despite their numbers, these voices areoften missing from mainstream media. This population goes by many names:expats, foreigners, refugees, digital nomads, 海龟. But who are they? Where do they live? Why do theymove? Living between cultures, what does “home” mean for them and how are theyimpacting our communities?
On December 13th, the Beijing American Centerwill host a panel discussion focused on exploring these questions with adiverse group of Americans who are living across cultures and working to shedlight on these stories worldwide.
This program will be in English with simultaneousinterpretation in Chinese.

Doors will open 30 minutes before the program starts. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before the program starts to allow enough time to go through security. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive half an hour after the program has started.

Directions: Metro Line 10, Liangmaqiao Station Exit B, walk northeast to the Tian Ze Road intersection of An Jia Lou Road, north side of the Visas Office.
