Did you know that ice cream is the state’s official dessert, the jumping jack the official state exercise, theflowering dogwood the official tree, the honeybee the official insect? Or thatMissouri is birthplace to scores of famous (and infamous) Americans, includingPresident Harry S. Truman, George Washington Carver, Josephine Baker, andoutlaw Jesse James? Or that the state is home to more than sixty accredited, degreegranting colleges and universities? There’s a lot more to knowabout Missouri! On December 17th, EducationUSA Shanghai will host Dr. GuoXiaoyu, Director of International Analytics at the University ofMissouri. Dr. Guo will introduce you to the state of Missouri, with afocus on Missouri’s education, economics, history, and culture sothat you, too, can understand what is special about studying there.
