东北的秋天短却美好，11月的来临带来了愈发寒冷的天气也带来了更多的沉淀。长春市实验中学国际部的学生们并没有像天气一样变得沉寂，反而随着感恩节活动和好声音的来临气氛愈发活跃。
The season of autumn in our city is short-lived but spectacular. In November, as the weather gets colder, we also try to gain more and be more. Changchun Experimental High School International Division is not like the quite winter we are currently experiencing, it is rather a fun-filled season, with Thanksgiving Day and The Voice of International Division happening.
10年级11月的主题是感恩，让学生们拥有颗感恩的心，感恩父母的抚育，感恩老师的培养，感恩同学的互助，拥有一颗感恩之心，才会发现生活其实会更美好。
The theme of G10 in November is the spirit of gratefulness。We encouraged our students to be thankful for their parents, teachers and classmates in order for them to find more happiness in daily life.
10年级A班由韩瑞茜，娄赢兮，10年级B班由班主任Sherry带领全班同学开展了感恩节主题班会及其活动，同学们观看了关于感恩节的视频，视频中家人围坐在一起庆祝节日的场景让同学们感受颇多。觉得自己平常都忙于自己的事情，关心身边的人太少。
There is also a thematic class meeting facilitated by Rachel and Alice of G10A, with the guidance of Headteacher Sherry of 10B. They watched a video presentation about the said holiday. Scenes about family members getting together to celebrate Thanksgiving Day moved them so much. More often, students tend to take for granted or even forget about the little things and the people around them , that mean so much in their lives.
同时两个班还开展了符合节日气息的烹饪活动。两个班级以感恩节食物为主题进行了各班第一次的小组合作式烹饪。从分组到准备食材，再到最后的烹饪成品，同学们懂得了合作的意义。最后每小组同学邀请外教们进行品尝打分，评出分数最高的小组进行表扬，同学们在此次的活动中都十分开心。
The International Division also did a culinary activity for this month, where both classes prepared a Thanksgiving meal as a theme for this activity. They showed the spirit of cooperation and camaraderie with each other. From group arrangements to food preparation down to the presentation of the final dishes, the students understood the significance of these values.
挑战，是一种知难而进的自信; 是一种逢高必攀的潜能; 作为一名国际人，我们更应该深知挑战的重要性。为此11年级A班在宣传部Zoey, Annie和信息技术部Tony同学的准备和组织下开了关于挑战的德育主题班会。三名同学与班级其他同学们进行了很多的互动活动，采访大家对于他们来说什么是挑战及如何面对挑战。让同学们都有参与感。同时还给同学们播放了一些关于极限挑战的视频，同学们在惊叹中了解人的极限能力。另外对于11年级学生来说，现在面临的最大挑战就是雅思考试，Zoey作为班级雅思成绩最高分给同学们介绍了学习雅思的方法供大家去借鉴。挑战在生活中无处不在，希望同学们能够勇往直前，迎接挑战。
Challenges and adversity enhance confidence. One’s ability to overcome struggles and survive tough times is a kind of confidence. Our division clearly understands the importance of this concept. With this theme, Zoey, Annie and Tony of 11A prepared a class activity about this. They interviewed their classmates about the personal challenges they are currently facing and how to overcome them.They played a video about Extreme Challenges and the students were surprised about it. For most of G11 students ,IELTS preparation and examination challenges them the most. Zoey who gets the highest IELTS score among G11A students shared her own experience regarding her struggles. She is a living testament that while it is true that challenges are everywhere, the world also is full of people who are trying their best to overcome them.
为了让同学们更理解挑战的意义，班级干部准备了一系列的挑战活动，其中包括两项吉尼斯世界记录的拍手挑战，英文绕口令挑战以及学生们的freestyle.各个项目学生们都踊跃参加，去挑战自己本以为做不到的事情。 每个项目获胜的同学登上了班级板报的“挑战之星”。学生们在活动中发现自己的优长所在，从而能够运用到学习中，寓教于乐。
In order for the students to understand deeply the value of overcoming challenges, the class leaders prepared a series of classroom activities that includes clamping hands ,tongue twisters and students’ freestyle. They participated actively during these activities. And for those students who won the award for each of the challenges , they were given the title and merit of being the Star of the Challenge.
11B挑战主题班会和主题活动由班委组织策划，主题班会以高二年级挑战雅思为主线，确立各个阶段最低目标及方案，为高三升学做最基础的准备。同时11月份，也是第四届国际部好声音的举办时间，11B共有四组选手参赛，主题班会中也为四组同学加油鼓劲，争取在比赛中取得优异的成绩。
A systematic planning for IELTS preparation and examination is the theme for G11B. Their class leaders presented a detailed plan on how to achieve this goal in preparation for their G12 years. Another activity held earlier this month is the Voice of International Division，there were 4 group contestants who joined, during their class meeting, the students cheered for them in hope of getting the title.
12年级的德育主题为共享文明，12A由纪律班长王源同学组织本月德育主题班会，王源同学从共享一词介绍了共享单车等现在我们随处可见的共享形式，又围绕文明介绍了古代四大文明古国，倡导大家要懂得分享也要懂礼，友善。
Then Peeta introduced the perks of modern life such as bicycle sharing and ride-hailing services . He also took the rest of the class back in time with the discussion on The Four Great Ancient Civilizations, while encouraging students to develop their values of respect and gentleness .
本月的德育主题活动，同学们分成四个小组进行各国文明习俗介绍，他们分别介绍了新西兰，菲律宾，印度和埃及，同学们介绍了每个国家生活，饮食，婚礼等各个方面的习俗，各式各样有趣的习俗让同学们大开眼界，同时也学习到了各国的文化。
Understanding culture is the theme chosen by the students of G12. They were divided into four groups to introduce the culture and tradition of four different countries ; New Zealand，the Philippines，India and Egypt respectively. Food, lifestyles, matrimonial customs, and other interesting traditions were included in their group presentations .
12B学生在班主任老师指导下分别就俄罗斯、美国、加拿大、非洲、菲律宾等国家具有的文明特色查阅资料，与中国文化进行对比。在班会上同学们分享了不同国家宗教信仰、节日及风俗习惯等文化，并进行了文化知识小竞赛。班主任Selene老师还开展了文明礼仪小活动，就中、西方餐桌礼仪进行了对比，如西餐桌上物品摆放，如何正确使用刀叉等，让同学们在出国后能够文明用餐。同时就本月发现的校园不文明行为进行批评，呼吁大家作为高三的学长学姐能够引领文明校园。
Headteacher Selene lead G12B students to search for information regarding the culture and traditions of some countries like Russia, The United States, Canada, some countries in Africa, and the Philippines , and how these relates to Chinese culture and traditions as well. During this class meeting, students shared different opinions on religion and even table manners. This way students gained better understanding on how to behave and conduct themselves appropriately in any given situations. At the same time, they evaluated also the uncivilized manners in which students on campus should improve on.
本月，各个年级都组织了符合本年级主题的活动，同学们也在各个活动中突破了自己，这也是不同月份不同活动主题的意义所在。希望同学们可以在每个月都有不同的成长与收获。
This month, each grade organized some activities that are in-line with their chosen themes. This school activity not only provides students an opportunity to develop their views for personal growth but also to act in accordance the right manners and proper conduct in the global field.
